For the very first time Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider visit the well known – “Land of the Rising Sun”, Japan. Many members waited with so much excitement and joy for this event. Chief Apostle came with District Apostle Andersen (Australia), District Apostle Helper Sobottka (Canada), District Apostle Helper David Devaraj (India) and the host District Apostle Urs Hebeisen to serve around 100 members in Japan.
The divine service was based on Jeremiah 29:11,
God has thought of peace for your future with a hope
The journey of Chief Apostle in Japan started with a presentation of Japanese traditional music an instrument called “The Koto” & Japanese food such as Shabu-shabu and Sushi, which was quite a new experience for him.
The warm welcoming from our members in Japan continued showing after the divine service, when all had a chance to have fellowship with Chief Apostle and the accompanying Apostles.
Last but not least, the Chief Apostle also visited the church in Tama-shi, Japan. A small congregation, yet so full of warmth and humbleness.
Here, the members showed their love by presenting some the history of the church and God’s work in Japan. Musical rendition and a cultural ceremonial of Japanese tea and light snack rounded up the gathering.
